SASKATCHEWAN HOME ECONOMICS TEACHERS' ASSOCIATION AWARD

The Saskatchewan Home Economics Teachers' Association has established a scholarship valued at $300 to be awarded to a student entering the internship year in the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan in the area of Practical and Applied Arts specializing in Home Economics. The prize also includes a one year membership in SHETA (Saskatchewan Home Economics Teachers' Association) during the interning year and registration fees to the SHETA annual Conference the year after receiving the award.

The student must be accepted as a full-time student.

Candidates will be selected by the SHETA Prize Committee, on the basis of scholastic achievement, extracurricular and community involvement, and referral by university personnel.

To apply students must submit the following:
· A photocopy of most recent transcript.
· A letter of reference from a university professor.
· A letter of application by the student, stating extracurricular activities, community involvement, and/or other accomplishments pertinent to the application.
